Stayed at East Wing last week in July. If you are looking for somewhere to stay don't miss this one. Immaculate little annexe on the end of the owners bungalow. The owner Margaret couldn't be more helpful. You have your own private garden with seats for morning sun and evening sun on the other side of your own garden. The annexe has everything you need nothing overlooked. Shower room instant hot water. And all very clean too. The garden is picture postcard well looked after by Margaret. The village is so quiet. Like a little bit of paradise. And easy access to the surrounding area. Kirkcaldy, Pettycur, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Anstruther, Leven. All within a few miles and well worth a visit. We enjoyed it so much booked it for next year too. Don’t miss this little jewel.

We had a great stay at Lawers. Situated in a nice village and a good location for exploring Fife and Edinburgh. Lovely garden to sit in and property well equipped. What really made our stay enjoyable was the owner-Margaret who was friendly and very helpful.

The East Wing is a snug abode, very warm and welcoming and well proportioned, not to mention safe and secure, with ample car parking space. Having stayed in both properties they are both well maintained and cared for. Everything you need is within the properties. The locations are great for travel around Fife and beyond. Welcoming friendly owners nothing is to much trouble. Prompt in dealing with booking enquiries.

Our 3rd stay at East Wing as ever it does not disappoint. The friendliness and approachability of the owner Margaret the fact she is extremely prompt in replying to enquiries and working with you to get the dates you require. The high standards of cleanliness still maintained and everything you need within East Wing. The location of Auchtertool village with regards proximity to the A92 10 minutes and the quietness of the said village.

Up from Wiltshire, Mary and I have just spent a very enjoyable second stay in the East Wing. Its a good location with plenty to see and do in the area and if you need to just chill out, the private garden is a really nice place to spend some time in. Margaret and Neil are lovely hosts and really made us feel at home. The accommodation is absolutely spotless, and the attention to detail is excellent, we can highly recommend a stay here. It's sometimes difficult to find accommodation for just two people and this is just perfect.

4th Visit

My wife and myself stayed in the "East Wing". Margaret & Neil, the owners of East Wing, were very welcoming, and made sure we understood how to operate the facilties in the cottage. The cottage is very comfortably furnished and lacked for nothing in it's resources. It was our first time we had stayed in Fife and Margaret and Neil were most helpful in explaining where to see the sights of the area (also shopping information - essential for our stay). Whilst Margaret and Neil were always available, - either in person - or by mobile, they respected our space - but, at the same time, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The area is very picturesque and has a wealth of history. We really enjoyed the hospitality of Margaret & Neil (we have had so many lovely experiences in Scotland, the Scottish people are exceptional in their friendliness) and we look forward to having another holiday in the "East Wing" later this year.

Stayed at both of Lawers Self Catering properties, Glen Lyon and the East Wing, whilst commuting for work purposes in Fife. Both properties were spotlessly clean and maintained to an exceptionally high standard with everything and more provided for…The East Wing is in the very pretty, small village of Auchtertool near Kircaldy and is attached to the owners bungalow, both properties are ideal for getting out and about in Fife with good travel links to Edinburgh. Margaret Cunningham, supported by her husband Neil, is the perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble. I would definitely recommend Lawers Self Catering to any visitors to the Fife area and would like to thank Margaret and Neil for making my stay so enjoyable.

The Wing was a great place to stay during my time in Fife. It was a perfect location for my Monday to Friday commutes to both Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy, halfway in between both.

We have arrived back safely, I've been back at work two days now.  Having trouble with our body clocks, waking up at 10 30pm, awake most of the night!!  

It will probably take a few days for us to acclimatise.

Rick and I both agree that your warmth, hospitality and comfortable accommodation made our stay in Fife a most pleasurable one.  I have placed my toadstools in the garden; they remind me of the happy memories in your garden and our time there.

I have placed your business card in the workplace and have spoken to some interested colleagues. We certainly hope we can revisit in the not too distant future.
